Restaurants might be operating differently right now, but there are still plenty of great burgers that you can order for take-out at area restaurants. See the full list of restaurants offering carry-out here

Here are eight to try this week:

1. Cloud Red

Head to Shorewood for Cloud Red’s Ney's Big Sky burger featuring a half-pound of grassfed beef, thick cut bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, crispy onions and special sauce on a brioche bun ($13).

Cloud Red is offering curbside pick-up Tuesday through Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. View their menu and order online for pick-up. Pre-orders accepted up to a week in advance.

2. Goodkind

After closing for nearly two full months, Goodkind appears to be on a roll having rolled out their very first Tuesday night carry-out Burger Night on May 5 and repeated the offering every week since. You’d be remiss to let another week go by without trying one. Watch their Instagram feed for their next announcement and then grab one up while you can! 

3. Riverwest Filling Station

Riverwest Filling Station has always made a great burger, and now is no exception. In fact they’re offering burger specials every week for carry-out. So go ahead and give them some love.

Riverwest Filling Station is offering curbside pick-up of a limited menu on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. (they also offer fish fry only on Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m.  Follow them on Facebook for current offerings and call the restaurant to place your order.

4. Sobelman's Pub & Grill

Head to Sobelman’s for their signature burger, The Sobelman, featuring a quarter-pound patty topped with American, Swiss and cheddar cheeses, bacon, fried onions and diced jalapenos. It's served with fries and a pickle for $12.

Sobelman's Pub & Grill is offering carry-out and free delivery within five miles of their restaurants from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Delivery is also available through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Post Mates (St. Paul Ave. location only).

5. Solly’s Grille

If butter burgers are your jam, you can still get one at Solly’s Grille. Or you can order one of their (microwaveable) burger kits to make your own at home. 

Solly’s is offering curbside pick-up Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call to place your order for pick-up.

6. Stilt House

At Stilt House, their namesake Stilt Burger features an Angus beef patty with portabella mushrooms, bacon, ale-braised onions, gouda and "bistro sauce" ($14.99). Fresh cut fries are an additional $3.50.

7. Twisted Plants

Twisted Plants’ burgers might be meat-free, but they’re still built to be better-for-you comfort food. Try their popular Up in Smoke featuring a plant-based patty topped with American style cheese, veggie bacon, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, pickles and special Twisted Smokehouse sauce ($15.50).

Twisted Plants is offering curbside pick-up Tuesday through Thursday noon to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. View their full menu on Facebook and call to place your order for pick-up. You can also follow them on Instagram for specials and updates.

8. Wayne’s Drive-in

Enjoy the nostalgic feel of an old school drive-in at Wayne’s, where you can order up The Big Wayne. It's a half-pound double cheeseburger with double bacon, lettuce and tomato ($9.85). You can also get onions (raw or fried) for no additional charge. Add French fries or tater tots for an extra $3 or onion rings for $3.95.

Wayne’s is offering carry-out service Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pre-order online and pick-up at their drive-up window.
