Milwaukee's first World Naked Bike Ride happened last September without a hitch and so organizers planned a second bike ride in birthday suits for Saturday, June 25.

This year, the floppy fun starts at 1 p.m. at Enlightened Brewery, 2020 S. Allis St., with body painting, naked yoga, vending and more. The ride will depart at 4 p.m.

The Naked Bike Ride is free to attend. It is legal and cleared with the Milwaukee Police Department.

Both the clothed and unclothed are invited and, like last year, the Naked Bike Ride also serves as a peaceful protest that promotes body positivity, cyclist awareness and energy independence.

The route is approximately 15 miles and will be announced soon. "Like" the Facebook page for all the details.

The Milwaukee ride is part of a world-wide movement that started in 2003 in Vancouver and has since taken place in hundreds of cities from London to Portland.

“I know some people aren’t going to like this, but that’s the beauty of it. We may have differences of opinion but we can still express ourselves peacefully,” event organizer John Jankowski told OnMilwaukee last fall.
