Sports teams and media companies get big exposure out of logo remodels. It’s a great way to build buzz and re-imagine a brand.

Local stores, of course, do it too. And last week, Stein Gardens and Gifts debuted a new logo and name. After 69 years as Stein Gardens and Gifts (the first location in Shorewood was actually a Stein flower center) the company is now Stein’s Garden and Home. As Joyce Andrews, Director of Community Relations told me, "in addition to all things garden, our (16) stores now carry an expanded collection of home goods and pet supplies."

There’s a new logo too, but did you notice the bigger change? Admit it, you’ve whistled their jingle and called it "Stein’s" for years, right? Not Stein, but Stein’s. The adding of an "s" is a Milwaukee thing. So, for this very reason, the store is now called Stein’s. "For years our customers have called us 'Stein’s' versus 'Stein.' So we thought we’d make it official," said Andrews.

What else is new? Andrews says the "logo is just the beginning," as Stein's is "reinvesting in (its) stores to provide customers with a great shopping experience. The biggest changes have happened at the 27th Street store location in Milwaukee, but changes will be coming to other stores in the months ahead."

We’re honored to have Stein’s as a new partner, and since it’s almost Christmas and holiday time, it’s nice to know Stein’s has even more for the home. They also, of course, sell online and beginning tomorrow Stein's lifelike trees are 50% off and for one week only.
