"The Office" is coming back ... sort of.
For those who've binged every episode since it's gone off air in 2013 and can't wait until NBC reboots the series for its streaming service (which is going to happen), here's something to tide you over: "The Office! A Musical Parody" will bring its North American tour to The Pabst Theater on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The unauthorized off-Broadway production follows the adventures of your favorite Dunder Mufflin employees as they cope with the grind of the workweek – and their gear-grinding co-workers, including boss Michael Scott – all while a random documentary crew records it all. It's a tribute and parody wrapped into one night that Mashable called "the world’s most elaborate inside joke, created with a whole lot of love, just for fans."
Tickets for the musical parody will go on sale beginning Friday, Sept. 27 at noon. For more information, visit the Pabst Theater Group's website. Now feel free to debate in the comments about whether a reboot is a good idea or not!
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
