A year ago today, the Violent Femmes played what may or may not have been their final show together at the Mohegan Sun, a casino outside New York City.

Rumors of discord in the band swirled last year, but -- as bass player Brian Ritchie pointed out in an interview leading up to the show -- discord and long periods of down time are hardly unusual for the band.

In any event, in honor of the Femmes' "anniversary," please enjoy this video of "Add it Up" from a show in 1983.
