Season's eatings! October may be over, but Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, is still cooking, dishing out your winning picks in this year's Best of Dining poll. Congratulations to all of the winners, and happy eating for all those who voted!
Sanford
If you're going to go all out for dinner and splurge, it might as well be worth it. And according to the voters, no place is more worthy than Sanford.
With entree prices above $30 each, the East Side restaurant undoubtedly qualifies for most under the "splurge" part of the best splurge category, but the food, wines and service certainly earn the "best" part with flying colors. Sanford, opened in 1989 by James Beard winning chef Sandy D'Amato, has routinely won awards and recognition across the country under the watch of executive chef Justin Aprahamian – who himself won a James Beard Award last year after several nominations in the past.
Far behind Sanford came Eddie Martini's, Bacchus, Carnevor and Lake Park Bistro rounding out the voters' picks, with Bacchus and Carnevor also turning up in the foodie's picks.
