Milwaukee Film will expand its Collaborative Cinema education program this winter to offer a pair of screenwriting workshops geared toward aspiring adult filmmakers.
The new Adult Screenwriting Program, as well as Milwaukee Film's current Teen Screenwriting Program for students in grades 9-12, will bring in professional mentors to help film students develop scripts eligible to be made into a short film during this summer's Collaborative Cinema film shoot.
Workshops begin Feb. 25, 2012 for teens and Feb. 26 for adults.
Registration for the Adult Screenwriting Program is $40, $30 for Milwaukee Film members or $25 for college students (with a student ID number and active student email address) through Jan. 27, 2012. Cost is $50, $40 or $30 from Jan. 27 to Feb. 17, 2012.
Enrollment for the Teen Screenwriting Program is free, but students must submit a one-page idea for a short screenplay before Jan. 27.
Interested screenwriters for either program can register online at mkefilm.org.
