Florida Street in Walker's Point was always home to classic Milwaukee spots like Caroline's Jazz Club and Soup Brothers, but in the past year it's also welcomed numerous new bridal and fashion spots, a woman-owned tattoo shop and arguably the most cheerful mural in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee artist Fred Kaems spray-painted the 15-foot-by-40-foot mural of a massive "Greetings from MKE" postcard. The mural is on the west side of the building where Luci Boutique will soon open, 215 W. Florida St.

"I started the mural at the end of January, when there was only a little snow on the ground. Then we got so much snow I paused until March," says Kaems.

Molly Snyder started writing and publishing her work at the age 10, when her community newspaper printed her poem, "The Unicorn.” Since then, she's expanded beyond the subject of mythical creatures and written in many different mediums but, nearest and dearest to her heart, thousands of articles for OnMilwaukee.

Molly is a regular contributor to FOX6 News and numerous radio stations as well as the co-host of "Dandelions: A Podcast For Women.” She's received five Milwaukee Press Club Awards, served as the Pfister Narrator and is the Wisconsin State Fair’s Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Champion of 2019.
