Wisconsin is a great state for golf, from the multiple major championships it has hosted (and will host) to the thousands of rounds played a year on its public courses.
And now that the summer's finally at the tee, there's plenty of time – and sunny weather – to take a hack at any one of Milwaukee County's golf courses, as well as the dozens of other venues in the surrounding suburbs.

This 9-hole, 2,562-yard par 34 was built in 1972 by Elmer Minzlaff. When the golf course got sold in 2003, lifelong resident Dan Goetz became the new owner. While the course has undergone many improvements; it's certainly a gorgeous spot to golf and to appreciate the beautiful nature around the course.

Opened in 2006, the walking-only course stretches to 7,820 yards and plays to a par of 72. It also offers on-site housing and will host the 2025 U.S. Women's Open Championship.
