I just left Marquette about an hour ago, and police had Wisconsin Avenue closed off at 13th Street.  Water had filled the street and sidewalk areas.

While there's no offical Twitter hashtag, yet I'll suggest #muwisaveflood or #muwatermain since news of a water main break on Marquette University's campus is all over Twitter and some other online entities.

@MarquetteU says, "Public safety alert: Water main break near 14th and Wisconsin Avenue has forced the closure of Wisconsin Ave between 13th and 16th Streets." And, "The water main break is causing reduced water pressure in nearby buildings and it is possible that water to those buildings may be shut off."

Wisconsin Avenue is closed through the campus beginning at 13th Street and several reports cite a water main break that could affect buildings, the street and sidewalks in the area.

Traffic was at a standstill at 11:15 a.m., and officials are advising people to stay away from area.
