I've been privy to the joy of shower beers for some time now, but it wasn't until this weekend that I tried my first Shower Beer by Vennture Brew Co.

The golden ale is everything you want from a cold one while taking a warm shower: it's crisp, refreshing, slightly sudsy and not in a breakable bottle. It is believed the first shower beer was brewed by Swedish Craft Brewery, Pang Pang, but has since become a term for any time one decides to swig a brew while showering. Drinking wine or cocktails while washing is also acceptable.

"We wanted to brew a delightful beer flavored beer that you could feel good about drinking in the shower. For those days you want to stay clean and treat yourself," says Rob Gustafson, Owner/ Fluid Transfer Engineer of Vennture Brew Co.

Venture opened in July of 2018. To find Shower Beer and less bath-based beers, go here. And soon, because supply is limited.

"Shower Beer is almost out," says Gustafson. "But we may brew this again in the future."

Multiple studies have shown that showers inspire people to think, relax and come up with great ideas. Combined with the potentially mind-expanding properties of alcohol, the rewards just might overfloweth.
