Clean with it: Brushegg

Brushegg
Every time I use one of my makeup brushes I cringe thinking of the crud, dead skin and germs in it. The solution for me? The original BrushEgg. This handy little silicone egg shaped thingy gets makeup brushes clean and even helps maintain them. Bonus, those brushes may actually last longer if you do take care of them! I like the aqua one, but I'm not adverse to the pink.  -- Carolynn Buser

Wear it: Zaharoff dress shirts

Zaharoff dress shirts from Frieschsky's
The other items I’ve recommended from our friends at Frieschsky’s, Milwaukee increasingly-less-secret men’s clothing store, have been a little less than accessible to guys with a modest fashion budget. This time, however, I’m telling you about a steal: they bought the entire line of high-end fashion label Zaharoff’s clothes from Chicago, and are making them available at huge discounts. I grabbed a slim fit navy cotton dress shirt that retails for $130 – but Frieschsky’s is selling it for $50. That’s a high-fashion shirt at a Kohl’s price – and believe me, you can tell the difference. This shirt fits like some of my tailored shirts. With double-buttoned mitered barrel cuffs, it looks and feels luxe. And the best part? Frieschsky’s has a ton of Zaharoff sizes, styles and colors, at deep, deep discounts. You’d be wise to jump on this and upgrade your closet while you can. -- Andy Tarnoff

Sip it: Collazzi Libertà 2012

Collazzi Libertà 2012

This complex Tuscan red comes from just outside Florence and is mostly merlot and syrah but with a dash of hometown sangiovese, too. Collazzi is best known for its chianti classico, but this balanced red shouldn't be overlooked. Retailing at around $20, Libertà is ripe with dark blackberries and currant fruit, a rich depth of flavor -- including a subtle herbiness -- a fuller body and a satisfyingly long finish with that hint of spice that always hooks me. You can drink it now, as I did, or put it down in the cantina for a few years and let it likely get even deeper and richer. -- Bobby Tanzilo

Drink with it: Sigg water bottle, monster collection

Sigg water bottle, monster collection

My family and I have been drinking from Sigg water bottles for more than a decade. I find them to be the perfect size with the easiest-to-access drinking nozzles and the cutest / coolest graphics. Recently, Sigg – a Swiss company that's been around since 1908 – came out with a new line of Hello Kitty Halloween water bottles which are, indeed, adorbs. However, I find myself more drawn to the new seasonal monster collection. Aside from the six-eyed creatures the bottles also have a glow-in-the-dark cap – and you ever know when you might be drinkin' in the dark. Boo! -- Molly Snyder

Watch it: The Voice

The Voice

If you haven't been watching the new season of NBC's "The Voice," now is the time. This show is everything that I, and so many others, loved about "American Idol" before it went down a big, huge hill, But it is so much more! The judges -- Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell and Blake Shelton -- are not just judging, they are leading, mentoring and shaping these talented singers along the way. Griffin vs Luke Wade's battle on "Maybe, I'm Amazed" was soulful and unique, which is what keeps a casual watcher tuned in. If you like singing, music, personalities and watching people grow you should be watching. Now. -- Carolynn Buser
