Spritz it: Calvin Klein Forbidden Euphoria
I've worn Calvin Klein Euphoria for a number of years and it is still one of my favorites to spritz on. Earlier this week my coffee barista asked if I was wearing it -- and I proudly said yes. She asked if I had tried the newer version  Calvin Klein Forbidden Euphoria  and I had to admit I hadn't but told her I would! I'm always skeptical on a remake - but the Forbidden Euphoria apparently is a more modern younger interpretation of the original. I'm not against feeling younger, so I will be trying this soon. -- Carolynn Buser

Sip it: Cune Reserva 2009
Nice acidity distinguishes this mostly tempranillo blend (there's also 5 percent each of mazuelo, graciano and garnacha tinta) from Spain's Rioja Alta zone. That brightness, which balances the dark red fruit, and a dose of tannins provide some complexity, which surely helped earn this wine a respectable 91 points from both Wine Spectator and The Wine Advocate. This medium bodied wine, which drinks well now, but might even improve with a couple years under its belt, retails for about $30. -- Bobby Tanzilo

Eat it: Cherkees beef jerky potato chips
When I found out that someone has made a beef jerky potato chip hybrid, I knew it had to have it. After salivating all over my keyboard, I contacted "Snack Innovators," the creator of this frankenfood, as well as the olive potato chip, and they sent me a bag of each. Obviously, I ate both samples in their entirety – although the jerky creation was a bit less spectacular in actuality than it was in my imagination.

Cherkees do taste like beef jerky, but their consistency is weird, and they’re a tad bland. They look like round rye chips and taste a little bit like cardboard or perhaps a dog treat. I found the potato flavor overwhelms the jerky flavor a little.  My office mates weren’t impressed at all, but at $6 a bag, Cherkees are certainly unique. Magically delicious? Not quite.

I actually liked the "Chollives" better; they really taste like green olives. And major kudos to this new company for innovating, even if both recipes could use a bit of tweaking.  Of course, I can’t suggest exactly what to change – maybe certain flavors just aren’t meant to be mashed up. But if it says "beef jerky," I’ll eat it in any form. The weirder the better. -- Andy Tarnoff

Push it: Dyson vacuum cleaner
I've read enough posts and status updates declaring the Dyson the ultimate in dust-and-bit sucking that I would, someday, like to have one for myself. Especially if my kid ever talks me into, finally, getting a furry pet. In the mean time, I'll continue to use my sub-par vacuum cleaner that I got for for $25 at a rummage sale. -- Molly Snyder

Download it: Duane Stephenson -- "Dangerously Roots" (VP Records)
I wasn't sure what to expect from this latest from the young Jamaican roots singer  best known in the U.S. for his work fronting "The Original Wailers"  especially as the ultra-smooth-sounding first bars played. But after the initial hiccup, the classic lover's rock of "Good Good Loving" transported me back to 1979 and a cover of Bunny Wailer's "Cool Runnings" continued the vibe. But dotted between were heavy roots tunes  with live musicians!  that carry on Jamaica's sometimes neglected tradition of hard-hitting conscious music. The spoken word tracks by Mutabaruka are fun asides. Tighter editing and sequencing  I mean cutting out some of the lightweight numbers  would've made this a stronger record, but it's still pretty darn good. You just may want to skip around a bit.
