Put it on: Younique 3D Mascara and more
A few months back one of my friends highly recommended that I try out the brand Younique's 3D Mascara. I reached to Tiffany Ingelse, Younique Independent Presenter, to see what all the fuss was about. Luckily, I was able to try a few different products from Younique -- and they were some of the best products I've tried all year.
My favorite by far just also happens to be Younique's best selling product -- the 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara Set. The duo includes a gel base you apply first and then layer on the 3D Fibers. Wow. I'm a convert. It can take a little bit of getting used to -- the trick is to apply the 3D only on the outer half of lashes -- but I am now using this daily. I swore I would only use it for special occasions and weekends, but I can't go back to my plain ole mascara now.
The other products I tested out were the Glorious Face & Eye Primer, Lucrative Lip Gloss and Beachfront Bronzer. I've used all of them off and on for a few weeks now, and all are great products. I'll be putting in a reorder on that Glorious primer for sure. - Carolynn Buser

I don't have a large vinyl collection by any means (mostly because most of the records I'd like in my collection are way too expensive for my liking). There's one record, though, I'd like to add to my collection immediately and as of right now, it only costs nearly $23 on Amazon: the soundtrack to the indie horror film "It Follows." If you haven't seen the film yet, it's a modern horror masterpiece that plays more like a commentary on STDs than anything else. It centers on a young woman (played by the immensely talented Maika Monroe) who is followed by a supernatural force after having sex with her date in the back of his car. As she discovers, this terrorizing force can only be transmitted through sexual intercourse with another person.
I can't recommend the film highly enough. It's riveting from the first shot down to its very last. Besides being clever in its concept, suspenseful to play with its audience, and gorgeous with its cinematography, all of these elements are only elevated by the hypnotic score by Disasterpeace, which itself seems ripped right out of a John Carpenter film. Of course I'll be purchasing "It Follows" when it's released on Blu-ray. In the mean time, I'll just blast the insanely good score with the hopes of not freaking out my neighbors. - Colton Dunham

Listen to it: Levante – Manuale Distruzione (INRI/Artist First)
As a big fan of Sicily's Carmen Consoli (so much so that I booked her only Milwaukee appearance back in 2008), it was probably a given that I'd enjoy Levante's debut. A mix of retro pop, moody guitar-driven alt.rock and breezy pop tunes, "Manuale Distruzione" nods heavily at Consoli's work, though sometimes with a jauntier vibe. That playfulness is best witnessed on the singles "Sbadiglio" – with its '60s girl group structure – and the catchy as hell "Alfonso." But the dozen tunes here refuse to conform to a single genre, beyond "pop," creating a varied experience that is constantly shifting moods. Levante is currently on her first U.S. tour, but it won't bring her here ... this time. But study up, there's always a next time. - Bobby TanziloWear them: Brewers Blue Resin Earrings
