Dating can be awkward and meeting a special someone isn’t always an easy task, so an upcoming event will hopefully make the love connection process a little easier.
WGIRLS Milwaukee, the city’s premiere non-profit organization for professional women, presents Milwaukee's 24 most eligible singles at the organization's 6th annual fundraiser, Bachelor & Bachelorette Auction "Meet Your Match," on Friday, May 8 at the Wherehouse, 818 S. Water St. from 7 to 10 p.m.
The event benefits Penfield Children’s Center, whose mission is to help infants and young children with and without disabilities through education, therapy services and family programs.
"Singles in Milwaukee are a unique breed," says WGIRLS Milwaukee president Rachael Hughes. "They're accomplished, social and active – and value helping others in the spirit of philanthropy. This year's list of singles not only make for a great live auction, but they're the perfect group of people to help us raise money for Penfield Children’s Center."
Guests at the event can mingle with the single Milwaukeeans and bid to win a pre-planned "dream" date.
WGIRLS Milwaukee handpicked the 24 women. Criteria were based on personality, interests, professional contributions and age, resulting in a mix of entrepreneurs, health professionals, artists, engineers and more, who range in age from 22 to 45.
A few of the many eligible singles selected include Brendon Thomas, president of Okanjo; Gina Gruenewald, owner of Wolf Peach; Hemad Fadaifar, partner at Movida; and Kara Volpintesta, MyTV 24 on-air host.
A sneak peek of each bachelor and bachelorette with photos and bios is up for viewing here.
Tickets for the event are $30 in advance at wgirls.org or $35 at the door.
