Welcome to #WeWant, a weekly selection of the stuff OnMilwaukee.com editors and staffers love.

Gift it: Try The World Holiday Box
Try The World is a destination subscription box that allows you to be transported around the world with your taste buds. The holiday box includes eight full size products from around the world. The traditional Try The World box comes every two months for $39.99, and focuses on one destination, such as Paris. My favorite out of this box was the Rip van Wafels from Amsterdam. You put one over your cup of coffee and let it warm from the heat off your coffee so the caramel or cocoa in the waffle turns to ooey-gooey goodness.

I loved trying all of the products and any host would love this gift -- or you could get it for yourself. The box includes not only a rundown of all the delicious goodies but also a "Culture Guide" filled with information on their history, how to use them and more. It even includes suggestions for music playlists. Use the code #MILWAUKEETRAVELS here to save 30% off on your world culinary travels now. -- Carolynn Buser

Cook with it: The Ribalizer Rib Cooker
I consider myself to be a pretty skilled griller on both the gas and the charcoal grill, so when most grill-related accessories come along I generally poo-poo them as unnecessary. However, I gave the Ribalizer a try because I thought the self-contained unit which is placed on top of the grill grate might cut back on grill mess. And, indeed, it did. But it was more of a joy than that. The device also allows grillers to add wood chips for smoky flavor along with beer, wine or soda to increase moisture and taste. In under two hours, we grilled ribs that were perfectly tender and rich and resulted in almost no cleanup thanks to disposable pans and the easy-to-wash cooking grates. I also appreciated the well-written, simple-to-follow instructions and the fact I bought such top quality ribs from my local butcher.  I’m sold. -- Molly Snyder

Sing into it: iRig microphones
IK Multimedia makes a wide range of gear for musicians and the selection of microphones caught my eye because of the variety available, the quality for price and the fact that in my small recording set-up, the main thing missing was a good mic. iRig Mic HD lists at about $130 and with a 44.1/48 kHz sampling rate, 24-bit A/D converter and a low-noise/high-def pre-amp is a high-quality handheld digital condenser microphone perfect for recording vocals, doing podcasts and the like.

Now, when the kids want to sing "Let It Go" karaoke style -- and, trust me, they often do -- I don't want them repeatedly slamming $130 to the ground. For that purpose, I've got a pink iRig Voice Mic, which sells for about $40 and looks like popstar bling to a young performer. Like its big sister, you can use it with smart phones and tablets, and a variety of apps, like IK's EZ Voice, that lets you sing along to songs on your devices or simply record your voice alone.

For work applications -- interviews, capturing audio at press conferences, etc. -- there's the $40 iRig MIC Cast, a tiny mic that pops into your smartphone or digital recorder, and also slips easily into your pocket afterward.  -- Bobby Tanzilo

Wear them: Mondo sweaters
I like the winter season for one reason only: wearing sweaters. Besides the fact that I like to cover as much as my pale skin as possible, I like wearing one because it’s an absolute necessity to keep warm during these brutally cold temperatures. One of the greatest things about wearing sweaters, especially during the holiday season, is that no matter how ugly or unconventional the sweater is, they could be a conversation starter that’ll make any hipster swoon because, as you should know, it’s the in-thing to wear a sweater that will make people think you have a terrible sense of fashion or you’re criminally insane.

This year, I’d like to go a little bolder with my sweater selection and since I’m a movie buff, it didn’t take long for me to obsess over Mondo’s "Gremlins" and "Fargo" inspired knit sweaters. They’re not ugly by any means. They’re actually really cool and would automatically make you the coolest person at a holiday party. Just don't feed the "Gremlins" sweater after midnight. -- Colton Dunham

Write it: Beta Inkless Pen
You stash a pen where you might need it someday and when you need one, it's usually dry. Chances are your glove compartment has one such useless utensil right now. The Beta Inkless Pen never dries up and never lets you down. The tip is made of metal and writes like a pencil on most paper, even in wet conditions. Stash one away (mine's going in my emergency kit) and have it ready when you need it or give one as a stocking stuffer to someone who likes to be prepared no matter what. -- Nick Barth
