Spring Equinox; Celebrating the coming of Spring through Green Living
Join us in celebrating the coming of spring! Our new Spring Equinox Celebration combines the annual Green Living Festival and the eve of the Spring Equinox! Through demonstrations, performances, and activities, fair trade and repurposed products you'll explore ways to develop a sustainable lifestyle that will help build a healthy, safe community while celebrating our Earth. This year we are adding guided tours of the tropical and desert domes to celebration the 50th year of the tropical and desert domes. In addition the train show will be going on in the Show Dome. Event Features: • Guided Desert Tours 10am-3pm: Learn about aloe and agave, foods, and medicines—all from the deserts around the world with some sampling • Guided Tropical Tours 10am-3pm: Learn about chocolate and other tropical foods • Ms. Kim’s Amazing Desert and Tropical Animals 10am-12noon • David Stokes and His Animal Neighbors 12:30-1:30pm: Laughing with the Animals! • Dairyland’s Finest String Band 3-4pm: Old-timey music for everyone • Earth-Friendly Activities: Beepods, Recycling, Composting, Bicycle Clinic, Natural Gardening for Pollinators and You, Green Landscaping, Farms • Family Activities: Animals up-close from WI, desert and rainforests, seed planting, crafts for animals’ sake, games, event scavenger hunt for door prizes • Green-Living Exhibitors and Vendors • Local Food Trucks • Train Show in the Show Dome

The "Domes" renovation is very beautiful and a long time coming. We here in the "Clarke Square" neighborhood of Milwaukee, where they are located (you might want to list OUR neighborhood in your neighborhoods listings, please?), are very proud and pleased to have them looking good...
